Guacamole

Happy nueve de mayo! But actually, I just wanted to make guac.

I had some super good salsa earlier today, which made me crave guacamole, which made me make guacamole!

Now, I know there are SO many different recipes for guac, and a lot better than mine, but I just did it the way my heart told me to make it.

One of my friends has her guacamole recipe memorized. And not just like "Avocado, lime, tomato". No, it's like "1 avocado, 2 tablespoons lime juice, 1/4 cup tomato". I don't actually know if that's right. And it may not sound cool, but she can say it super fast too! It's cool, believe me. Please.

So I started with an avocado. Make sure to get a sexy one.

Then add chopped onion, lime juice, a hot pepper, and a good amount of salt.

Done!

I would have preferred to use a jalapeno, but I only had peperoncinis, so I used one of those.

Guacamole:

1 avocado
1/4 of an onion, chopped
juice of 1/2 a lime
1 hot pepper, chopped
salt (I used 1/4 a teaspoon, then some more)

Scoop the avocado into a bowl and stir until it's mushy (that sounds appetizing). Add onion, pepper, and juice, and stir again. Add salt to your liking.

I think next time I'll add tomato, grilled corn, cilantro, and a real jalapeno. And I would probably use two avocados. And garlic.
Oh well, at least I made my own recipe!
