Healthy Cookies?
Is that an oxymoron? Probably, these are TRIPLE CHOCOLATE COOKIES, after all. Triple chocolate, you say? Why yes, my dear Watson, three types of chocolate. Cocoa powder, milk chocolate chips, and dark chocolate chips. Now where does that "healthy" part come in? Well, they have whole wheat pastry flour in them.
Now, the recipe says that it makes 24, but mine only made 22. I guess I shouldn't have eaten so much batter :). Ellie uses pecans in her version, but I'm not really a pecan kind of gal. I like walnuts much better (and also we didn't have any pecans) so I put walnuts in them. In the words of Claire Robinson, BYOC. "What does that mean?" you ask? Be your own chef. Ellie isn't watching you, although I think that it would be pretty cool to cook with Ellie Kreiger!
Back to the cookies! They're really good. Make sure you have some milk on hand.
